HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?


Prospective members must attend a Village 101 Talk.  After doing so, the presenter will contact a volunteer from our Membership Committee who will contact you for the next steps.  Meanwhile, you can read the Introduction to North Star Village to be better prepared.


Prospective members will:

  • Attend Villages 101 Talk: check our calendar for the next Village 101 Talk
  • Interview: Two North Star volunteers will interview the prospective member in their home, (during COVID-19, by a video interview) to find out the prospective member's interests and needs and to ensure that the members expectations and Village services are aligned; to raise questions, clarify Village opportunities, programs and services; and, if there is a match, to welcome the prospective member to the Village community.
  • Application: At that meeting the successful prospective member fills out the application, provides contact information, emergency information and receives written agreements between North Star Village and the member.
