Between Two Worlds (2023).
Famed author Marianne Winckler (Juliette Binoche) goes undercover to investigate exploitation of the working class in Northern France. Marianne wants to make it real for herself; she wants not just to see with her own eyes but experience it. She wants to write a book about these “cleaning ladies”.
She lands a job as a cleaner on the cross-channel ferry and develops close connections with the
other cleaning women, many of whom have extremely limited resources and income opportunities.
